"When COVID-19 led to a move from in-person teaching and learning to distance learning in March 2020, the San Mateo County Office of Education wanted to respond with timely staff development for the teachers in our 23 member districts. However, we knew we would need to partner for training at that scale. Jonathan Bissell, Executive Director of CCCE at San Mateo Community College District, proved to be a collaborative and agile partner. Located in Silicon Valley between San Francisco and San Jose. SMCCCD is a three-college district comprised of Cañada College in Redwood City, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College in San Bruno.
